A few of the things that count:

I have loved just about every form of visual creativity for as long as I can remember. I was raised in a very creative family. My mother sews, embroiders, quilts & hooks rugs, my father is a genius technical draftsman & my sisters paint, make jewelry & knit. I would like to think I have inherited a generous amount of each of their creative energy.

Having spent my youth in the Caribbean plays a large part in my design aesthetic. I am greatly inspired by nature, color and pattern and play on a combination of my family’s weekend wanderings, my children’s current fascinations and my own memories to tell stories through design. I strive to creates work that is fresh, joyous and youthful with a touch of whimsy.

I studied Textiles, Graphic Design & Art History at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, but have been drawing, painting and stitching since childhood. I currently live in Montreal.

Fabric & Product Design:

I started designing fabric as a personal, creative exercise on Spoonflower in 2011. Within that first year, I was commissioned to design a number of fabric collections for a children’s clothing company. In 2012, I became a licensed fabric designer and currently design under the Windham Fabrics banner.

Since 2001, I have worked in partnership with numerous international companies to design products that range from bath accessories to paper products to dinnerware to colouring books.
