Brooke’s Monarch Flight Quilt

More JOY project inspiration! I so love this photo!

Brooke of Oh Sew Brooke has made this gorgeous quilt with JOY fabrics and lots of airy white ground. The juxtaposition of those dynamic butterflies on the borders with the calming concentric squares in the main panel is just right, isn’t it! I find colour and pattern so fascinating! The way the dark, saturated colour of that central square draws the eye in, in an almost hypnotic fashion is truly mesmerizing.

The closer one gets, the more details start to appear and the butterflies upon butterflies start playing. You can learn more about it on her blog.
